Their is a connection both sides of the windscreen, the holding bracket on my drivers side came loose and was being hit by the wiper motor linkage and broke the ribbon cable into the screen, the ribbon cable is heavy duty multistrip that plugs into the cable, all strips are the same feed so I just My heated windscreen on my 06 Mondeo has stopped working on the drivers side.
